Over the last 15 months the mission team have held four prayer vigils, with varying themes:-
• To give thanks and pray for 'all those who nurture us'
• For those in need of prayer
• Remembrance
• Reconciliation
Every single one of these prayer vigils has been very moving. During the two hour vigil there are four 30 minute services where prayers are read out, incense is burned, a Bible reading is said, music is played and everyone present is invited to light a candle. Refreshments are always available.
Thank you to all who have given prayers for these services, which are left on the cross for several weeks at the back of the Church. If you have never been to a prayer vigil, please come along and experience how special these services are.
Charitable giving policy
The Mission group have also been responsible for the implementing of the charitable giving policy, where the congregation was given the chance to elect and vote for their favourite charities. As a result the following charities were chosen.
